- When working with Printer it is common that sometime you can face a problem called Paper Jamming.The Steps given below are the solution to get resolve from this problem.
The given diagram is an example of Paper Jamming.
Step One:
Locate and remove any paper stuck in the loading tray:
- Remove any loose paper in the loading tray.
- Press the Resume button on the front of the printer.
Note: If the paper jam is cleared, skip to the Ensure the printer carriage can move freely section. Otherwise, continue with the steps below.
- Remove stuck paper one sheet at a time, starting in the middle.
- Check for any remaining bits of paper.
Note: If the paper jam is cleared, skip to the Ensure the printer carriage can move freely section. Otherwise, continue on to the next section below.
Try to Clear the Jam from Front side of the Printer:
If the Loading Tray does not show any Papar Jam then try to follow these steps:
- Remove the Rear access Panel:
- Locate the knob or access tab on the back of the printer by or on the panel itself. If it's a knob, move it to the Unlocked position.
- Remove the panel and carefully pull out the jammed paper.
- Locate and clear away any small bits of paper that remain.
- Replace and secure the rear panel.
If the step given above does not work then you may try to remove the jammed paper slowly and carefully.Remember one thing try this step only when the other steps failed to work.
Note: If you are using a Laser Printer ( Brother Laser Printer )then first remove the toner cartidge and then try to pulling out the paper slowly and carefully.
Step three:
Ensure that the print Carriage can move freely:
1.Disconnect the Printer from the power source.
2.Try to see the carriage and check that it will move in right hand side or not. Do not force the carriage to move if it stuck's to move beacause it can damage your printer.
3.Remove the Ink cartidge Carefully.
4.Without removing the drawer,remove the paper if any kind of paper inside it.
5.Now, remove the two sided Rear access door.
6.With the help of your fingers try to rotate the Rollar towards the top of the printer for three full rotation.
7.Now, Replace the two sided Rear access door.
8.Replace the Ink cartidge.
9.Lastly,plugin the printer and turn it On.
Step four:
Ensure that the print Carriage can move freely:
1.Disconnect the Printer from the power source.
2.Try to see the carriage and check that it will move in right hand side or not. Do not force the carriage to move if it stuck's to move beacause it can damage your printer.
3.Remove the Ink cartidge Carefully.
4.Without removing the drawer,remove the paper if any kind of paper inside it.
5.Now, remove the two sided Rear access door.
6.With the help of your fingers try to rotate the Rollar towards the top of the printer for three full rotation.
7.Now, Replace the two sided Rear access door.
8.Replace the Ink cartidge.
9.Lastly,plugin the printer and turn it On.
Step four:
Reloading and Testing the Printer:
Once you've removed the jam, cleared away any remaining
bits of paper, and ensured that the print carriage can move without
issue, test your printer.
- Put some inkjet paper into the loading tray and slide it into place.
- Print a test page by performing a self-test. Usually a self-test can be initiated by pressing and holding the Resume button until your machine starts printing.
